Keith Anthony Wise, B.A.
Clinical Counseling Graduate Intern
Keith is a clinician-in-training at Loyola University Maryland with a strong interest in counseling teenagers, emerging adults, and adults. He values the multicultural identities and lived experiences each client brings into the therapeutic space.
Keith earned his B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland, College Park in fall 2017. Since 2019, he has worked as a secondary English Language Arts teacher in Baltimore County Public Schools at both the middle and high school levels. As an educator, his primary goal has been to provide culturally responsive instruction and to cultivate a classroom community in which all students—regardless of race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or other salient identity factors—feel safe, respected, and celebrated. He plans to carry this person-centered, inclusive approach into his work as a counselor.
In addition to earning his secondary teaching certification, Keith completed his 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training through Razz Yoga in Phoenix, Maryland, in spring 2023. Through an integrative and holistic counseling approach informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), he emphasizes mindfulness and the mind-body connection. Keith is passionate about helping clients develop effective communication skills so they can clearly express their needs, while also supporting them in cultivating healthier relationships with themselves. His goal is to help individuals connect with their authentic selves and carry that authenticity into the world.
In his free time, Keith enjoys reading, watching movies and television, spending time outdoors, practicing yoga, and connecting with family and friends.
