Yoga Classes
We offer three different types of yoga classes: kundalini, hatha, and vinyasa.
Our beginner-friendly kundalini yoga classes will help you boost your self-awareness with precise poses, chanting, and breathing exercises. Kundalini yoga is special because it is specifically designed to help you balance your chakras in order to unlock greater spiritual enlightenment. This class is centered around relaxation and meditation, which have been proven to reduce stress, pain, anxiety, and depression while improving sleep, creativity, energy, cognition, empathy, and inner peace. The concepts of kundalini are ancient, comprehensive, and beneficial for mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness. Boost your willpower while releasing challenging emotions and tension. Shift away from patterns and behaviors that no longer serve you. By tapping into a higher level of spiritual attunement, practitioners of this form of yoga can reach a more profound level of consciousness and connection, which provides more clarity, emotional balance, and concentration.
Hatha yoga is a popular and traditional form of yoga that focuses on physical postures and breath control. The goal of hatha yoga is to restore physical and mental well-being. Like kundalini, this is a slower-paced form of yoga that focuses on proper alignment. It is considered a foundational practice for other forms of yoga and is often recommended for beginners. Studies suggest that hatha yoga is helpful in reducing anxiety, enhancing emotional resilience, increasing mindfulness, and improving balance.
Our hatha yoga classes combine meditation with a variety of postures, including balance poses, reclining poses, standing poses, and twists, with breaks in between poses. Intentional breathwork is timed with each pose for a more centered and grounded workout. Our vinyasa yoga classes offer more fast-paced movements for those who crave more intensity in their workout. Instead of having breaks between poses like in hatha yoga, in vinyasa, the instructor will string poses with intuitive, active movement, creating an ever-shifting “flow.” As with the other forms of yoga, breathwork is a pivotal aspect of this workout, grounding you as you move. Vinyasa yoga has been shown to lower stress, blood sugar, and cholesterol, all of which promote better heart health. Indeed, vinyasa yoga has also been beneficial in improving mood and giving a healing space for relaxation and restoration. Vinyasa is a form of “moving meditation” where intention heightens your sense of fluidity, harmony, and grace.
All forms of yoga have been shown to be great for improving flexibility, stamina, and muscular strength. Studies suggest that yoga in general can be beneficial in lessening pain, lowering blood pressure, and improving overall mental health. All you need to bring for your first class is comfortable workout clothes, a yoga mat (some can be provided, but the number is limited), and a bottle of water. Just $25 per class!
