Sparkle is a mission-driven behavioral health professional with over a decade of experience supporting individuals through trauma, addiction recovery, emotional challenges, and major life transitions. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a focus in Applied Behavior Analysis and is a Certified Life Coach, Licensed Addiction Counselor in Maryland, and trained in Trauma-Informed Care. She has also completed graduate coursework in pastoral care and counseling. Currently completing her Master of Social Work at Walden University, Sparkle provides therapy under supervision at DIY Wellness, blending evidence-based practices with holistic and spiritually grounded approaches.
Sparkle’s professional experience spans addiction treatment, community mental health, disability services, justice-involved care, and leadership in community-based programs. She provides addiction counseling at Mazwick Holistic Institute and Serenity Health LLC where she supports individuals through recovery and treatment at the Baltimore County Department of Corrections. . Her extensive experience allows her to meet clients with empathy, clarity, and a whole-person perspective.
Therapeutic Approach
Sparkle integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, grounding, and trauma-informed practices. Her sessions focus on emotional safety, nervous system regulation, identity-strengthening, and practical skills for daily stability. By combining evidence-based strategies with holistic and spiritually grounded approaches, she supports clients in building resilience, self-confidence, and long-term well-being.
Background & Experience
Sparkle has worked extensively in addiction treatment and relapse prevention, trauma and crisis stabilization, emotional and behavioral regulation, case management, peer recovery support, community program leadership, and disability services. She also provides therapeutic support to incarcerated individuals preparing for reentry. Her certifications include ADT, CPRS, Life Coaching, DLA-20, MANDT, trauma-informed interventions, ethics, motivational strategies, and First Aid/CPR. She is an honored member of Phi Alpha, Psi Chi, and the SCLA Honor Society.

My approach to mental health and wellness is evidence-based and spiritually grounded. I integrate traditional talk therapy, pastoral care principles, and holistic wellness practices to support clients in exploring the underlying causes of challenges, fostering resilience, and developing practical tools for emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Through mindfulness, reflection, and strengths-based strategies, I guide clients to reconnect with their inner capacity for reliability, confidence, and capability. My goal is to help each person embark on a journey of healing and self-discovery, honoring their individual values, beliefs, and spiritual foundations while nurturing growth across all areas of life.
