British Martin, LMSW, is a mental health therapist committed to delivering high-quality, client-centered care for individuals & families in MD & VA. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Coppin State University and a Master of Social Work from Howard University, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical practice, research, and culturally responsive service delivery.
She works with individuals facing a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. This includes, but is not limited to anxiety, depression, mood/schizophrenia spectrum disorders, life stressors, and complex transitions. She is open to supporting clients from diverse backgrounds and with varying clinical needs, and she strives to meet each person where they are with professionalism and respect.
A core part of her work is helping clients "normalize their experiences" reducing shame, increasing understanding, and reinforcing the idea that their actions and emotions make sense within the context of their lives. She believes that when clients feel validated and truly understood, real healing and growth can begin. She strives to create a supportive environment where clients feel safe, empowered, and equipped to navigate challenges with confidence and resilience. She is dedicated to promoting well-being, enhancing quality of life, and supporting clients as they move toward meaningful and lasting change.
